 Develop Your Home Practice

Are you unsure of how to begin your yoga practice at home? Maybe you know some poses you would like to practice that day but are unable to create a continuous flow between poses? You feel ready to dive deeper into the philosophy that supports your physical yogic practices but don’t know where to begin?

In this class, you will learn how to cultivate a personal practice. You will discover ways to practice asana, pranayama, meditation, and svadyaya (self-study) by yourself.

We will discuss sequencing of asanas, what pranayama practices are appropriate for your skill level, meditation techniques, and the yamas (how you should comport yourself with the outside world) and the niyamas (how you should comport yourself), that will help inspire and empower you. We will also discuss many of the excellent yoga books that are available.

Change Your Energy = Change Your Life

Prana is the Vital Force that pervades all things manifest and un-manifest. It is the #1 thing that has a direct impact on how we see the world. Simply, if our energy is low or being depressed or repressed, our view of the world will also see dim, contracted, depressing. Yoga can have a direct impact on how the energy is moving around the layers of our body and our mind. Prana (Energy) divides into five types depending on movement and direction. Vayu means power of air. The five Prana Vayus each govern different aspects of our bodies and mind. This workshop will help you understand what each vayu specifically controls and how you can build them in order to maintain balance physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. In this workshop, we will learn to balance these vital airs internally with the help of yoga asana (poses), as well as pranayama and meditation techniques to change our perspective of the external world. All classes will include lecture, asana, pranayama, and meditation. 


Letting Go So You Can Let In

They told you it would be hard…They told you that you can achieve anything or nothing at all…You wrote a story about yourself and how you see the world…And then you started practicing yoga and you learned about Detachment from your Identity.

The beauty of Yoga is that it helps us find our physical, mental, and emotional patterns and ultimately dissolve them.

According to Yoga, what we identify with and how we relate to the world is woven through the Chakras. In this workshop, we will use Flow based Asana, Pranayama, Mudra, Meditation and Nidra to refine our vision of ourselves and how to let go of the stories that prevent us from achieving our goals. As we create space for more energy and higher states of consciousness we access boundless will and precision to fulfill our Dreams.


Yogi, Heal Thyself

Many of you came to yoga in the first place to heal in some way, shape, or form. We are either looking to yoga as physical therapy or as a way to bring peace and healing to our hearts and mind. What emerges from your yoga practice is an awareness that you have the capacity to heal yourself in all aspects of your life whether it is physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. 

In this workshop, we explore the areas of the body that awaken our healing and revitalizing forces. Through breath, we will generate prana (life-force) to help break down our conditioning, old ideas and self-imposed limitations that have prevented our healing thus far. Finally, with meditation we will unlock our innate ability to harness our own energy to move towards health and wholeness.
